The ever-popular Shinfield 10k returns for its 30th year with some exciting new features. So come and celebrate this great milestone with us at this fun, friendly event for all the family! The one-lap,10k course is mostly flat and passes through the villages of Shinfield, Ryeish Green and Spencers Wood.
- UKA licensed - results will appear on Power of 10 and RunBritain
- Chip timing, with SMS result sent directly to your mobile phone
- Team competition for UKA-affiliated clubs (first 4 finishers from your club are counted)
- Age group prizes
- Prize for first male and female local finishers (RG2/RG7 postcode)
- £100 prize for runner breaking the course record (currently M: 29.32 / F: 35.09)
- Memento for all finishers under 90 minutes
- Great PB potential
- Bag storage and toilets at the start
- May Day fete, mouth-watering cake stall, brass band
- Free parking (20 minute walk from the start)

- You can enter by post, online or on the day (subject to availability). Please note the desk for entry on the day closes at 09.00am.

Both the 10k and Junior races start and finish at the Shinfield Health Centre, School Green, RG2 9EH.
You must not wear headphones of any type during the race.
Trophies and prizes for the first three males, first three females and for the first local (RG2/RG7) male and female runners. Also trophies for the first male and female in the 40+, 50+, 60+ and 70+ age categories. A team prize will also be awarded to the team with the fastest four finishers. No runner may win more than one individual award. All runners completing the 10k course within 90 minutes will receive a memento.
Any profit from the races go to the Shinfield Association and Reading Roadrunners 2014 charity. The Fete on the Green includes a mini fairground, stalls, bouncy castle, games, live music and a barbeque - fun for all the family!
This year we will have three junior runs, so why not bring along a youngster to join in the fun? All junior finishers will receive a memento.
Under10 - 2.1k starts at 11am
Under13 - 3.6k starts at 11.30am
Under16 - 5.9k starts at 12noon
All three junior races are off-road across rough heathland, footpaths and farm tracks. Entry £5. Postal entry and on-the-day entry available subject to a limit of 300 runners. Entry forms will be available for download here in early 2014, alternatively email email@example.com and we will send one to you.
Results will be published this website and on www.powerof10.info and will count towards your runbritain handicap.
